Art & culture are for everyone, though for many centuries, they were gatekept by an elite few.
With this in mind, we at The Culture Review Mag believe in hearing as many voices as possible to improve our cultural literacy, awareness and empathy.
Are you an established literary critic? Or perhaps you are a woman of colour living in a predominantly white area, or you might be a person living with disabilities. Or you might be a refugee who have had to flee conflict, or maybe you are a young student aspiring to be a poet one day.
Whoever you may be, as long as you are aligned with progressive values and politics, we want to read your works.
The kind of articles that we are looking for
Stories might or not be of serious themes, even though we want to see you connect them to the bigger picture at play in the world right now.
Try to dig deep. Throw in some expert view and some statistics. Provide nuance. Do not fall for whitewashing.
Try to spotlight individuals who are often overlooked by mainstream media: brown people, people in wheelchairs, Rohingya community leaders, students leading feminist campaigns on campus – the list is endless.
As The Culture Review Mag is a constant work in progress, we are more than happy for you to steer the show and inform us what we should cover and how we should cover. Perhaps there is an oversight by us. After all, we want to be better.

We pay a modest fee in USD for published works.
