At The Culture Review Mag, we believe that art should be accessible to everyone, regardless of opportunity or privilege.

We also believe that art & culture exist within certain socio-political contexts and at times are used as props for political purposes and ideology — this is especially true nowadays as conservative movements and authoritarian governments are coming back to power.

As such, we at The Culture Review Mag seek to consume, analyse and interrogate art & culture using the lens of human rights, history and politics, through easy and digestible reads.

The Culture Review Mag was founded by Mohani Niza (she/her). A journalism graduate, she began her career as a features writer and then as an editor for a few publications. Mohani is an aspiring literary critic with a big passion for feminist and queer analysis of movies and literature.
